Notifications (Coming Soon)

Optserv's upcoming notification system — in-app and email alerts for approvals, lifecycle events, and OptClass session balances.

Optserv is building a notification system that reduces the need to actively check the platform for pending actions. This page describes the planned behavior.

Why notifications

Currently, every approval workflow (leave, overtime, attendance corrections) requires the reviewer to open Optserv and check their queue. There is no push mechanism to alert managers or HR that something needs their attention.

Notifications close this loop.

Delivery channels

In-app — notifications appear in the Optserv notification center. A badge count is shown in the navigation.

Email — key events (approvals, rejections, invitations) also send an email. Email notifications are configurable per user — you can disable categories you don't need.

Preferences

Users will be able to configure which notification categories they receive and via which channels (in-app only, email only, both).

Admins will be able to set company-wide defaults for notification delivery.

Notifications are currently in development. We don't have a public ship date yet. Follow the Roadmap page for updates.
