Pricing: Free vs Paid
Compare the Community (free) and paid plans: storage, hiring limits, modules and School quotas. Core HR is free for a team of any size.
Core HR is free forever, whatever your headcount. The Community plan is limited by storage rather than by the number of people. You pay when you switch on a module, and paid plans are priced per seat.
Plan comparison
| Feature | Community (Free) | Paid plans |
|---|---|---|
| Employees / users | Unlimited | Subscription seats |
| Published job postings | 3 | Unlimited |
| Applicants per job | 25 | Unlimited |
| Storage | 100 MB | Unlimited |
| Maximum file size | 10 MB | 10 MB |
| HR workspace | Included | Included |
| Modules | 14-day trial | Switch on what you need |
| School | Limited (see below) | Full access |
School workspace limits
| Quota | Community | Paid plans |
|---|---|---|
| Students | 25 | Unlimited |
| Teachers | 10 | Unlimited |
Teachers are staff-level users in the system. This limit applies to the School workspace only. Core HR itself has no seat cap, so you can add as many employees as you like on the free plan.
Understanding seat counts
On a paid plan, your seat count is set by your subscription.
Seats count active employees, not historical records. Offboarded employees do not consume a seat.
What the free plan is good for
The Community plan is designed for small teams getting started:
- Your whole team using all HR workflows, however many people you have
- Up to 3 active job postings at a time
- Enough storage for contracts, offer letters, and basic company files
If you are not running high-volume hiring and your document storage stays under 100 MB, the free plan covers your needs, however many people you have.
When to upgrade
Consider Business when:
- You're approaching 15 active employees
- You need more than 3 concurrent job postings
- You want Account Sharing for credential management
- Your hiring volume exceeds 25 applicants per role
- You need more than 100 MB of document storage
