Limits: Free vs Paid
School workspace plan limits (OptClass product): 25 students and 15 teachers on Community, unlimited on Business.
The School workspace has per-plan limits on the number of students and teachers you can have active at one time. (Product / apps: OptClass.)

Why these numbers
The free student limit (25) is designed for small programs: a tutoring center with a few classes, or a corporate training cohort in its early phase.
Teachers in Optserv's system are staff-level users. Core HR itself has no seat cap, so this limit applies to the School workspace only, not to how many employees you can add.
What counts as "active"
- Active student, a student profile that has not been archived
- Active teacher, a teacher profile that has not been archived
Archived students and teachers do not count against the limit. Archiving is reversible, you can unarchive if needed.
Hitting the limit
When you reach your student or teacher limit:
- Existing students/teachers remain unaffected
- New student or teacher profiles cannot be created until you archive existing ones or upgrade
- Staff receive a notification when attempting to exceed the limit
Upgrading
Business removes both limits. If your school-management program is growing, upgrading unlocks:
- Unlimited students
- Unlimited teachers
- All other Business-tier features (Account Sharing, higher storage, unlimited job postings)
